I’m Josh Summers—Army veteran, former youth pastor, and a follower of Christ who had to reconstruct my faith from the ground up. Today, I live in Texas with my wife Victoria and our two young boys, Joshua Jr. and Carson. When I’m not writing, I’m chasing kids, reading theology, or trying to explain the doctrines of grace to anyone patient enough to listen.
I come from a heritage of faithful ministry—both of my grandfathers were Free Will Baptist pastors, men I dearly love and adore. Most of my family remains deeply rooted in Free Will Baptist tradition, which makes my journey into Reformed theology a bit of a family outlier. But my theological convictions aren’t a rejection of my heritage; they’re the fruit of a deeper search for biblical faithfulness that my grandfathers themselves modeled in their own commitment to Scripture.
This blog is for anyone tired of superficial Christianity. It’s for those who want theological depth, biblical clarity, and the assurance that comes from resting in God’s promises rather than our performance.

Thanks for being here. I pray these reflections deepen your love for Christ and strengthen your confidence in the gospel.
